As we embark on the Fourth of July, what better time to wave the red, white and blues to pull at the heart strings and emotionally connect with American consumers. Marketing professionals around the country have developed ad campaigns featuring patriotic music and American flag motifs to promote some of the most iconic brands.
According to a consumer research study conducted in 2014 by Brand Keys of New York, the following are the top three most patriotic brands in the U.S.:
2. Levi Strauss
It is no surprise that cars, denim jeans and soda are the pinnacle of iconic American products.
These brands go above and beyond creating advertisements that include the American flag. Jeep has been able to lead the pack by providing value as part of its brand equity in which consumers acknowledge on a deeply emotional and engaging basis. Since World War II, Jeep has been known for providing reliable transportation for American GI’s under the toughest conditions for generations. It has become a symbol of American ruggedness and a sense of adventure.
2. Levi Strauss
Levi’s has been one of the top favorite fashion labels. The image cultivated by Levi’s represents the hard-working manufacturing history that make America what it is today. Now that is certainly patriotic.
Of course Coca-Cola ranks third as the “Most Patriotic” brand. From its red and white color-scheme to its high-profile celebrity endorsements, Coke has been an American icon with more than one hundred and twenty-three years of history.
